The Ever Present Helper

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever.” John 14:16 (ESV)

Have you ever felt like you were doing life alone? Jesus knew we would. That’s why He promised the Helper. Not just a comforter, but another Helper—one like Him, who would remain forever.

The Greek word used here is Paraklētos—meaning one called alongside to help, advocate, and strengthen. This isn’t a temporary fix or fleeting feeling. It’s an eternal presence, faithful even in our silent cries. When you’re unsure of your next step or crushed under burdens you can’t name, remember: you are not abandoned.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t merely visit—you are His dwelling. What if, instead of striving, we paused to invite His help more intentionally today? What healing could unfold in your heart if you believed you were never truly alone? Jesus didn’t leave us comfortless. He left us with God Himself, forever near.
