Light for Today:
What if strength wasn’t just physical—but deeply spiritual?
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
Charlie’s friend James had just lost his job. With a mortgage looming and kids to feed, panic set in. But instead of rushing into anything, James leaned into Isaiah 40:31. He started each day in quiet prayer and Scripture, even when his mind raced with anxiety. Over weeks, God renewed his strength—not just to endure, but to rise.
He landed a new role better than the last, but more importantly, he found deeper faith in the waiting. This verse teaches men that strength comes not from hustling harder but from hoping deeper. Waiting on the Lord is not passive—it’s an act of trust that God will lift us higher than our own wings ever could. So, if you’re worn down, don’t quit. Wait. God will renew your strength.
Lord, help us to wait with faith and rise with Your strength. Amen.
