Shalom: The Peace That Makes You Whole – Isaiah 26:3 Devotional

THU

🕊️ Light for Today:
What if the peace you’re searching for is found not in escape—but in trust?

📖
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:3, ESV)

Laura’s friend Isabella had a season when everything felt fractured—her relationships, her health, her inner thoughts. She kept saying, “I just want peace,” but every effort to control her world only left her more anxious. One night, Isaiah 26:3 leapt from the page: “perfect peace”—not temporary calm, but shalom, the kind that makes you whole.

That night, she shifted from striving to surrender. Instead of trying to fix everything, she began focusing on God—morning prayer, breath prayers during panic, Scriptures taped to her mirror.

That word “stayed” means fixed like an anchor. When your mind locks in on the Lord—not on outcomes—you find a peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances.

You weren’t made to hold everything together. Shalom is the gift God gives to the one who trusts, not the one who performs. He holds you together in the very place you feel unraveled.

🙏 Bible Vibrance Prayer:
Lord, I’m tired of trying to control what’s beyond me. Help me fix my mind on You so I can walk in the peace only You give.

Bible Vibrance Question:
What would shift in your day if your mind was stayed on God instead of the storm?
