Light for Today: How do you hold on to strength when your body feels weak?
“For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord.” (Jeremiah 30:17 ESV)
Charlie’s friend James had always been the one to show up for others. From leading mission trips to praying over the sick, he was known as a servant of God’s people. But now, unexpectedly battling a serious illness, he found himself on the other side—needing the faith he so often gave away.
In his quiet hospital room, this verse from Jeremiah became a lifeline: God Himself promises to restore and to heal. Not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too. For those who feel like they’ve poured out all their strength, God is still the source of renewal. Healing may take time, but His Word guarantees He hasn’t forgotten your wounds. You who’ve served so many—now let Him serve you. Be still. Be encouraged. God is your Healer.
Prayer: Lord, for every faithful servant who is now weak, remind them of Your promise to restore. Be their strength, their hope, and their healing. In Jesus’ name, amen.
