🕯️ Light for Today:
What if fear didn’t hold you back—and grace made you bold?
📖 “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7 ESV)
🌿 Jessica, Laura’s friend, had always avoided public speaking. When asked to lead a women’s Bible group, her first instinct was fear. But then she remembered 2 Timothy 1:7—God had not given her fear, but power, love, and a sound mind. That verse became her anchor.
In this passage, Paul reminds Timothy to stir up his spiritual gift with courage, not timidity. Women of faith today are called to the same grace-fueled boldness. Courage isn’t loud or flashy—it’s the quiet confidence that God empowers us through His Spirit.
When fear whispers “you’re not enough,” God declares, “My grace is.” That grace moves us to act—not in our own strength, but in His. Jessica’s trembling yes became the beginning of a powerful ministry to other women battling fear. You can be next.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving me a spirit of power, love, and self-control. Help me walk boldly by Your grace, not my fear. Amen.
